Music Bingo Night

Do you think you are a music guru? Or Do you think luck is normally on your side? Or maybe you just want to have a fun evening? Either way, you are in luck! ESN and The Living Room are collaborated to host the first Music Bingo Night!🎢 Our Music Bingo combines two things that people love! Great music and the excitement of bingo. Just spot the songs and win great prizes. ✨

The event will take place in The Living Room (the white tent between Erasmus Food Plaza and Erasmus Paviljoen) on the 23rd of March from 16:00 onwards.

Walk-in hours

The Living Room is organising walk-in hours in collaboration with EESA for all students that are affected by the war in Ukraine in the Living Room. If you need help during these particularly difficult times, members of the executive board, the international office, student counsellors, psychologists and study advisors will be present to support you. Everyone is welcomed during these walk-in hours, so share this post with people who may need it. The walk-in will be held on Wednesday 16th and on Friday 18th from 12:00 to 13:30.

Crocheting workshop

On the 15th of March at 16:00, our fellow student Gabie will give you a crocheting masterclass. No matter what your current crocheting level is - beginner, intermediate or advanced - join us for the masterclass free of charge! ⁠

Christmas Card Swap

We are very excited to invite you to our Christmas card swap event! πŸŽ„

The idea is pretty simple - you make a Christmas card for someone and someone does the same thing for you. This way you will receive a special card made just for you this winter holidays! ❄

You can join 2 ways: physically or online.

To join physically, you should come to The Living Room (in between the Food Plaza and Paviljoen) on the 17th of December.

If you join online, you just have to make the card yourself at home.

It will be open every week from Monday to Friday, from 12:00 to 16:00.

The Living Room is really excited to announce the launch of a new book club this year with Rotterdamsch Leeskabinet!! For this edition, we will read The Sympathizer by Viet Thanh Nguyen. The book will be provided by us (more info about pick-up after sign-up). ⁠

Social Happiness Workshop

The Living Room, Happy Student Society and LifeVersity are happy to announce the workshop on Social Happiness as a part of the Student Wellbeing Festival! Together we will learn and improve your skills of creating meaningful conversations, discuss values of different relationships in terms of communication and support, and have some enjoyable time altogether!

Queer Yoga Session

Monday the 15th at 11:30 we will host a Queer yoga! Everyone is welcome, but especially if you're not (yet) comfortable in your skin, and find it hard to join a regular yoga class, this is perfect for you! Asa will make sure that the space is completely safe and that you can feel free to practice yoga in a way that it is comfortable for you.⁠

Student Wellbeing Festival

From November 8 until November 19, the Student Wellbeing Festival will take place, this time live on campus! It's all about having fun, relaxing, meeting other students and your personal development and wellbeing.

What to expect? Two weeks full of keynote speakers, all kind of workshops and activities, pop-up Living Room with information center at Erasmus Plaza, relax area with games, pool table, escape room, and much more. All free of charge; registration is for some activities required.

Boost your wellbeing - Do some gardening

Do you want to take time for yourself? Are you a plant lover?

Then join our exclusive workshop hosted by The Living Room and Edible EUR on Tuesday 26/10 from 3PM to 5PM!

Edible EUR is an association on campus which is part of well-known Sustainability Hub! They have their own garden on campus which can be accessed by anyone, at any time of the day! You can go there to relax, walk around, discover new plants or even take part in some of their gardening workshops!

We are therefore really excited to collaborate with them for our new event! You will get the opportunity to spend quality time with like-minded people while doing some gardening! We will do some planting, have meaningful chats and spend some lovely time in this relaxing green area.

Wellbeing Monitor

In order for Erasmus University Rotterdam to support you as well as we can, it is vital for us to understand your wellbeing and your needs in order to study healthily and enjoyably. As such, we ask you to participate in our annual Student Wellbeing Monitor. Have you already filled in this survey last year? Then we encourage you to participate again!

Our Student Wellbeing Monitor contains questions about your general health, wellbeing, mood, coping, experience at the university, and studying. Filling in the survey is voluntary, and data will be processed anonymously. By filling in the survey, you help us serve your needs and interests as a student. You also help us see how things evolve over time.

The time has changed to 9:00. We also have a new teacher Afrodita.

Afrodita (Didi) has been a dedicated yoga practitioner for over ten years. Early 2021 she successfully completed the 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training program at Balanzs – an officially Registered Yoga School (RYS 200) within the Yoga Alliance network. Didi teaches both Vinyasa and Yin Yoga and her classes are centered around safety, curiosity, and lightness. She sees yoga as a way to pause the autopilot we tend to live on and invite mindfulness back into our life through intentional movements. Join the practice to deepen your mind-body connection and to give yourself the present of your own divine presence ✨
